photography class

Stopped at the park to shoot some photos with my sister-in-law for her photography class. I never guessed I'd take another picture I liked with the 70-300mm zoom.

mesa temple

I was in the Phoenix area this weekend for a blogger conference and had to stop by the Mesa Temple. After all, it has a pool in front of it. The wind didn't cooperate, the sky was weak sauce, and I really should have been there in the morning instead, but here's what I ended up with anyway.

I went to the northern california coast. I don't usually do that. I was excited. I found a starfish.

missed it

The lightning woke everyone up just before 5:00am this morning.  I flew from my bed, dressed in the dark and was out the door in two Mississippi.  I drove to the pre-conceived location on the lake shore to capture the rare Utah lightning reflecting in the dark waters.  As I neared the picturesque location a sudden disappointment covered my countenance.  The lightning was striking to the north while my vista panned out to the south.  Long story short - I drove for a half hour and couldn't find a good vantage point.  But I at least shot proof that there was really lightning this morning.
